As I blogged yesterday (post below this) Lana Del Rey “National Anthem” video will feature her as Jackie O and actor, not rapper A$AP Rocky as JFK. There’s a little twist at the beginning of the video she is doing the famous Marilyn Monroe “Happy Birthday Mr President”. Is she playing the roll of both Jackie and Marilyn?
The video is amazing shot and directed by Anthony Mandler. I loved the vintage look and color correction of the video. The video felt very cinamtic to me watching it full screen with headphones. Fan of Lana Del Rey or not this is a great music video that was well captured by Mandler.
Here’s the 4 minute trailer for Lana Del Ray’s “National Anthem”. The first look at the rumored JFK (A$AP) and Jackie O (Lana Del Rey) video. The video is directed by the music video guru Anthony Mandler.

I love all of Bourdain’s shows, for the fact that he keeps it real. He never holds back and in this 15 minute tour of NYC it’s more of the same (swearing, meat, and booze). For more Vice Munchies click here.
“Anthony Bourdain of No Reservations takes us on a brass-knuckled culinary tour of New York. He starts us off with amazing cured meats and cheese at Salumeria Rosi before heading to the distinguished Wakamba cocktail lounge. After a few beers to cleanse the palate, we end the night with one of the best pieces of meat we’ve ever had at Bourdain’s old base of operations, Brasserie Les Halles.” via youtube

We headed to Tennessee last week with legendary badasses NEMO Design, to shoot a video for MasterCraft. It was a honor and super fun to be in the trenches with the hommies from NEMO. MasterCraft showed everybody a good time and dished out the southern hospitality in spades. We captured some amazing wake boarding footy that is going to blow peoples mind. Rusty Malinoski put in the work to make sure this video would be one to be talked about for awhile to come. Be on the look out for this video, your not going to want to miss this one. Thanks again to everyone at NEMO Design and MasterCraft. #workinghardnothardwork

I met DJ Neil Armstrong last summer during our adidas All Originals shoot here in Portland. He was kind enough to let me use his Serato, which was filled Jay-Z samples from when he toured with Jay. I’ve stayed in touch with Neil over the past year, meeting up with him in NYC and most recently at the Do Over here in PDX. He’s a great guy, a great ambassador to adidas and a amazing DJ.
