2 Chainz - Birthday Song (Explicit) ft. Kanye West

“And the VMA for video of the year goes to…. 2Chainz featuring Kanye West, Birthday Song.” haha Just kidding! This amazing video was directed by Andreas Nilsson. Nilsson who just did the Target “back to school” spots with WK, which couldn’t be more different than this. When asked about the 2 Chainz video, Nilsson told DN.se: 

“The song is about [2 Chainz] wanting a “booty hoe” on his birthday, and that’s an aesthetic very far from my own. But that’s what made it fun, doing something where I didn’t know what the outcome would be. It’s a little bit of a combination of‘Beetlejuice’ and ‘Deep Throat’. To me, that old school hip hop aesthetic is reminiscent of horror movies.”
