North Carolina: Matthew E. White and Hopscotch Fest
This past weekend we flew down to North Carolina for Hopscotch Festival to shoot Matthew E. White for Hometapes. We shot Matt White’s live show on Thursday night, which included a 31 piece orchestra/choir. It was an amazing show to shoot and we’ll have some edits for you to see soon.
Friday we hung out and shot the Hometapes “Friend Island” party, which included another performance from Matt White, Death Blues and Kamp’s own Adam Heathcott as Sunless.
On Saturday we got up super early hit the airport to pick up Dan for one more day of shooting. We cruised around the Raleigh-Durham area shooting a music video for Matt White.
While we were in North Carolina we got introduced to the greatest fast food of all time called “Cook Out”. At Cook Out you can get a corn dog and chicken nuggets as your side with your sandwich! They also have these amazing CheerWine Floats and every milkshake you can think of, even fresh watermelon. We also had a chance to see a little bit of festival on saturday night. We caught part of The Roots set downtown in the rain. Then we saw Danny Brown kill it at the Contemporary Art Museum.
